As summer revs up I keep seeing notes from people who are traveling thither and yon. A recurring theme is “it doesn’t compare to ___” (fill in the blank).
My question is, why should any place, or anyone for that matter, be required to compare to another? We never find happiness looking for what’s not there. Happiness comes when we choose to enjoy life to the fullest wherever we are at the moment.
Wherever you travel, or live, or work, enjoy that place for what it is. And if you don’t like it for what it is, get up and go. But my bet is that if you look hard enough for the good, you’ll find more than enough to love.
